‘24 Fall Course Schedule

This schedule provides structured activities that balances youth programs, boxing at various levels, and special sessions for members and invited guests.

NOTE: Remember to check for any updates or changes to the schedule.

Youth Program: (8 to 16 years old.)

Your child will learn all the skills needed to become a great boxer/combat athlete, all the while getting direction and assistance from the head coach of the PSU boxing team. Penn State’s boxing has a legacy of 102 years and is one of the top 5 boxing schools in the country.

Boxing relates to a lot of difficulties faced out in the real world.  Training from a young age with achievable goals with dedication and the discipline to push through, success will become natural.  How to cope with stress, and mental burdens is lessened by training. Training is often conducted with the assistance of successful student athletes  that bring other positive aspects about training and furthers one’s education through boxing. Our program is intended to be a good time, and if the enthusiastic responses that we get from our students is any indication, then we’re meeting this goal.

Boxing:

The same techniques that are taught to Golden Glove competitors, All Americans, And National Champions will be taught at Legacy.  Sparring is not a requirement of the class nor is it allowed even if there’s a willingness until the coach/trainer thinks you’re fully ready.  Nevertheless, we always say to train like you are going to spar or fight, but if you don’t spar or fight, you will be thrilled with the physical conditioning and the results along with possessing the real skills as a real boxer.

Cardio Boxing/ Boxing Circuit:

Cardio kickboxing is a group fitness class that combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories as you build lean muscle with this fun and challenging workout.

The key difference between boxing and cardio kickboxing is that boxing primarily focuses on punching techniques using only the fists, while cardio kickboxing incorporates a wider range of movements including punches, kicks, and sometimes elbows, all while prioritizing high-intensity cardio exercise rather than combat technique or self-defense application; essentially, boxing is a more focused combat sport, while cardio kickboxing is a fitness workout that uses kickboxing moves for cardio benefits.

Sparring by invitation: Sparring is only allowed when Coach is present!
